INCIDENTS of mugging in Turbat are on the rise as the number of checkposts manned by law-enforcement agencies is not sufficient. Cities such as Karachi and Gwadar have a number of checkposts that prevents criminal elements from operating with impunity.

Recently, I visited Gwadar where I found checkposts at every intersection just like in Karachi. Turbat does have checkposts but it still needs at least another 20 for a better check on criminals.
