Three killed in Mardan incidents

MARDAN, April 7: Three persons, including a couple, were killed in two different incidents here on Saturday, police said. In the first incident, a woman identified as Haleema along with her son Hamaad allegedly axed to death her brother Shehryar and his wife Fazilat when a dispute erupted between them.

The accused women and her son fled the scene after throwing bodies of the couple in the fields in Jamal Gari area.

Preliminary investigation suggested that two sisters of the accused woman had been missing for some days and she suspected that her brother was behind the incident.

The Jabber police took the bodies into custody and registered FIR against Haleema and her son Hamaad and started further investigation.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a man was allegedly killed by his neighbour when they exchanged hot words over a petty issue in the Kotki Shah locality of Katlang on Saturday.
