Seven die in Mingora road accident

MINGORA, Dec 9: Seven people were killed and 15 others injured when a hiace overturned near Malamjaba on Sunday night.

According to reports, the vehicle bearing registration No. NWFP C-8407 was on its way to Malamjabba for an excursion trip when it went out of driver’s control and fell into a deep ravine killing seven person on the spot and injuring 15 people.

Four of the dead identified were: Umer Rehman, 40, son of Amir Mohammad; Shabnam, 30, daughter of Said Gul; Amina, daughter of Janat Gul, and Najma, daughter of Zameen Gul. The names of other three could not be known.

The injured in the accident were: Samina, Aisha, Rasheeda, Rehana, Naziya, Sanga, Aziz, Farida, Riayat, Akhtar Rasool, Sajjad, Amina, Resham, Shah Hussain, Shamim and Asia.

The injured were taken to the Saidu Sharif hospital in the night by some local people and policemen while many of them were later shifted to the Peshawar hospitals.

Owner of the hiace, Umer Rehman, resident of Chinar Koto Batkhela, was driving the vehicle.
