BHC declares teachers’ boycott unlawful

QUETTA, May 3: The Balochistan High Court declared on Thursday illegal the boycott of FA and FSc examination by the Professors and Lecturers Association and directed them to perform their official duty and conduct examinations as scheduled.

The bench comprising Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan issued the order on a petition filed by students.

Advocate Qahar Shah, appearing on behalf of the petitioners, said that about 60,000 students had been affected because of the exam boycott by the teachers.

The court in its order said that if teachers did not conduct examinations then action would be taken against them according to law.

Sources said that college teachers had been seeking the transfer of the director college.
