Vietnam veterans welcome ceremony

The Vietnam War, 1955 to 1975, was during the Cold War era. It was a long and bitter battle that the Americans lost. The soldiers coming back from the war never received the welcome they deserved. Therefore, Lieutenant Gen. Don Campbell Jr., III Corps and Fort Hood commanding general, said the ceremony was about the Army embracing Vietnam veterans and caring for them because they never received the welcome home they deserved. - Photo by Reuters
