Blast victim dies of wounds in Kohat

KOHAT, May 31: A woman who was injured in a bomb blast in Ghulam Banda a week ago succumbed to her injuries on Thursday, raising the death toll from the incident to two.

A bomb fitted in a cycle parked on Kohat-Jawaki road had exploded on May 23 when a pickup carrying passengers to tribal area of Jawaki was passing by.

As a result, one person was killed and six others were injured.

One of the injured Mumtaz Begum w/o Saeed Khan died of her wounds in a hospital here on Thursday.

She was the resident of Ibrahimkhel village of Turki Ismailkhel area of frontier region of Kohat.

The police have upgraded the FIR and included her name among the dead. However, they are still without any clue to the whereabouts of culprits.
