Two rockets hit Quetta

QUETTA, June 14: Unidentified men fired two rockets in Quetta on Thursday night which exploded in open places, causing no casualties or damage to property.

One rocket landed at the Wapda grid station in Marriabad on the Alamdar Road area and the other near Musa College in Gulistan Town.

The rocket blasts created panic among people, police sources said.

Personnel of the Frontier Corps and police cordoned off the affected areas and launched a search operation for attackers.

Meanwhile, the United Baloch Army claimed responsibility for the attacks.

A spokesman for the UBA, Murid Baloch, calling reporters from an unknown place said his organisation was behind the rocket attacks which were targeted against the cantonment area.
