Shahbaz says ‘Zardari gang’ has no future

LAHORE, July 30: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif alleges that the Zardari gang has given the nation torturous loadshedding, price-hike, poverty and unemployment.

He said those who pushed the nation into darkness during Sehri, Iftari and Taraveeh in the sacred month of Ramazan should stop dreaming of ruling the country in future.

The chief minister was talking to a delegation of PML-N activists from Gujrat here on Monday.

He said the people would bury the politics of corruption and plundering of the incapable rulers forever during the general elections.

Mr Shahbaz said that all problems were created by the Zardari gang and if the country got rid of this ‘corrupt’ gang, all its problems would be solved.

Announcing various development schemes for the Gujrat district, he said that over Rs6 billion had been spent on various projects in the district during the last four and a half years.

KHOSA: Chief Minister’s senior adviser Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has expressed serious concern over terrible increase in power loadshedding in the province, saying the prolonged outages are perturbing the people and making them restless.

He expressed these views while presiding over a special meeting of the cabinet committee on power management here on Monday.

Senator Khosa said the duration of loadshedding in cities and villages of Punjab had reached up to 14 to 22 hours a day due to poor planning and incompetence of the federal government, forcing the people to come out onto the roads.

He ordered the police authorities to chalk out a strategy to safeguard the public property as well as persuading demonstrators to hold their agitation in a peaceful manner.

The meeting was informed that as a result of prolonged outages, seasonal workers had been deprived of their livelihood giving birth to many problems.
