Sheikhupura traders feel insecure

SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 21: Local traders are worried over increasing incidents of lawlessness in the town.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, city traders association chairman Aslam Baloch invited the chief minister and the governor to the town. “We will hand them over the keys of our shops as we find it extremely difficult to run our business under the prevailing law & order.”

He said during the last few days over a dozen of dacoity and theft incidents had occurred in the city.

DACOITY: In Mohalla Rasoolnagar, the house of a former councillor was looted by bandits late on Friday.

Reportedly, the robbers sneaked into the house of Haji Akram, held the family hostage and fled with booty worth Rs 500,000.

City division police are investigating.
