10 hurt in Quetta grenade attack

QUETTA, Aug 13: At least 10 people were injured, four of them seriously, in a grenade attack on an eatery in Shahbaz Town late on Monday night.

Police sources said the grenade hurled by some people on a motorbike exploded near a makeshift wooden structure outside the eatery.

Other sources said it was a bomb which had been planted under the wooden structure.

A large number of people were in the area when explosion took place.

The injured were taken to the Quetta CMH as doctors in civilian hospitals were on strike.

The blast damaged windowpanes of several nearby houses and restaurants.
