Swabi PkSF leaders threaten en bloc resignation

SWABI, Oct 8: The district leaders of Pakhtun Students Federation (PkSF) have threatened to resign en bloc if leadership of Awami National Party continues to ignore them.

“We will have no other option but to resign en masse if district and provincial leaders of ANP fail to accept out demands within one week,”

PkSF district president Ibrar alias Baba told journalists here on Monday.

He said that they were ignored by district and provincial leaders of ANP during the last more than four years despite the fact that their party was ruling Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“There are total eight unions of PkSF in the district and all of them have discussed the issue with me.

The final conclusion is that we will tender resignation from the party in case leadership fails to come forward to resolve our problems,” Mr Ibrar said.

He said that it would be a great loss to ANP in the district, which remained a stronghold of the party.

He said that Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, ANP provincial president Afrasiab Khattak, general secretary Arbab Tahir and district president Haji Rehmanullah should play their role to resolve their problems.

He said that former provincial president of PkSF was informed about resentment among workers but he did not play any role in that regard.

Flanked by other student leaders, Mr Ibrar said that party leaders had promised that importance would be given to students but situation remained totally different during the rule of their party.

The PkSF leader said that they wanted the party to provide jobs to their colleagues in different departments and give due weight to their opinion in the decision making process.
