Over Rs1bn for Gujar Khan development
GUJAR KHAN, Oct 17: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has approved funds to the tune of R1.82 billion for development schemes in Gujar Khan tehsil.
According to sources, these projects include construction of road between GT road Banth to railway crossing (Rs12.5million), rehabilitation and construction of road between Jhaliari Mohazam Shah-Tubkian (Rs25 million), Natha to Sarian road (Rs15m), Kalas to Dhoke Mustaqeem road (Rs10.6m), GT road Satra Meel to Sanghori Sarwar Shaheed road (Rs25m), Banth-Dhoke Baba Faiz Muhammad road (Rs12.8m), Kaliam Awan-Qutab Feroz Road (Rs16m); Chakwal to Panjgran Kalan Road (Rs20m), Syed Ada to Syed Kasran village (Rs 31m), Dhoke Amb to Sasral road extension and reconstruction (Rs89m).
The development schemes also include construction of boundary wall and retaining wall of Nullah around the Sarwar Shaheed Government college (Rs42m) and extension of Gujar Khan to Bhalote road (Rs 134m) and construction and extension of Gujar Khan-Sukhu-Daultal road (Rs165 million).
According to the sources, Rs46.888 million for each of the union councils of Mandra, Ghungrila, Devi, Jatli, Guliana, Raman, Panjgran, Kaliam Awan Jhungal and others have been approved by the prime minister.
