Bakery torture case: Court accepts Ali Imran’s bail plea
LAHORE: A local court in Lahore accepted the bail application of Ali Imran, the son-in-law of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, in the bakery torture case on Friday, DawnNews reported.
The court granted the bail to the accused and ordered his release on a surety of Rs 50,000.
The counsel for the accused told the court that his client had no involvement with the case hence he should be released adding that Ali Imran Yousaf had also been declared innocent in the investigative report of the police.
No one appeared in the court to represent the complainant.
Earlier on Wednesday Ali Imran had courted his arrest on the instructions of his father-in-law and Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
Ali was later produced in court, on Thursday which sent him to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
