Saeed reaches seniors’ tennis final
KARACHI, Nov 5: Mohammad Abdul Saeed became the first player to reach the 35 plus singles final after he brushed aside Irfanullah Awan in straight sets at the 17th Pakistan international seniors’ tennis championship at the Karachi Gymkhana here on Monday.
He won 6-4, 6-3 to qualify for the title battle where he is slated to meet the winner of second semi-final to be played between Mohammad Manzar and Aly Panju.
Meanwhile, Syed Mohammad Jalal was through to the last four in the 45 plus singles coasting to a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Gul Agha in the quarter-final.
