Robbers strike 21 times in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD, Jan 8: The city and its rural areas are still in the grip of outlaws as they struck 21 times during the last 48 hours, looting millions of rupees in cash, ornaments, valuables and hijacking four bikes, two cars, a wagon and a bus.

Four masked highwaymen snatched Rs555,000 in cash from trader Muhammad Zeeshan on the Faisalabad-Satiana Road when he was going to his house after drawing cash from a local bank. The bandits also took away his mobile phone.

Three armed robbers snatched a two-wheeler (FDZ-8757) from Muhammad Amjad in front of the Police Lines.

Outlaws deprived Muhammad Akram of Rs14,000 in cash, 500 pounds and a camera on the Faisalabad-Jhang Road when he was going to his village from the city.

A gang of armed bandits looted thousands of rupees in cash, ornaments and other valuables from the house of Shaukat Ali in Dawood Colony in the limits of Saddar police station.

Thieves took away textile machinery and equipments worth Rs70,000 from a factory of Alamdar Hussain in Faizabad.

Three armed bandits hijacked a car of Muhammad Hamid after tying its owner with a rope in Khayaban Colony.

Seven masked bandits made off with cloth and yarn worth thousands of rupees by taking into hostage the gunman of a factory in Chak 7-JB in the area of Nishatabad police station.

Four armed bandits looted cash, a colour TV set and a VCR set from a hotel after tying the owner and customers with ropes in Chak 239-RB in the limits of Saddar police station.

Two highwaymen snatched a two-wheeler (FDZ-8629) from Abbas Khan at pistol point in Mehmoodabad, Sargodha Road police station.

A gang of five unidentified armed bandits looted thousands of rupees in cash and ornaments by taking into hostage the family members of Malik Khalid in Samanabad, Factory Area police station.

Four masked bandits barged into a match factory in Amin Park of Batala Colony police station and snatched cash, wristwatches and other valuables from workers at pistol point.

Five masked gunmen looted Rs20,000 in cash and other valuables from the house of Abdul Hameed in Raja Park in the jurisdiction of Factory Area police station and sped away.

Vehicle lifters took away a Hino bus of transporter Muhammad Muneer Akhtar when he parked it outside his house on the Faisalabad-Jaranwala Road.

Thieves took away a car (LXO-6114) of Suleman Ali in D-Grounds and a motorcycle of Muhammad Shahbaz in Peoples Colony.
