CHARSADDA, Dec 22: Unknown assailants gunned down a local leader of Awami National Party, Shahjehan Durrani, near his house here on Saturday evening. Mr Durrani, who was joint secretary of Shabqadar ANP, was going home from his medical store at Shabqadar bazaar after daylong work when armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on him. As a result, he was killed on the spot.His nephew, Ijaz, has lodged an FIR of the case against unknown assailants with Shabqadar police station. The motive for the attack could not be ascertained.
