Four doctors suspended in Dadu
DADU, Jan 13: The EDO, Health, has suspended four senior medical officers on the charges of negligence in duty on Monday.
On the directives of the provincial secretary, Health, and the district Nazim, a special team of the health department, led by the EDO, Health, Dr Khadim Hussain Lakhair, paid a surprise visit to the Civil Hospital Dadu on Monday.
The team visited different wards of the hospital, checked the attendance register and found four senior medical officers — Mehrunnisa, Zarina, Rozina, and Dr Insaf Ahmed Magsi — absent from their duties.
The EDO suspended them and sent a report to the district Nazim and the provincial secretary, Health.
On being contacted, the EDO, Health, Dr Khadim Hussain Lakhair, said that he had conducted the raid over public complaints at the Civil Hospital where he found four doctors absent from duty.
He said that he would pay surprise visits at other hospitals also to monitor the punctuality of the doctors.
DEMO: A large number of primary teachers of Dadu Taluka held a demonstration outside the press club on Monday to protest against the officials of the district accounts office for not paying them their salaries, TA/DA and other bills for the last two months.
The teachers were led by Abdul Rehman Panhwar and Shabbir Ahmed Magsi.
Talking to newsmen they alleged that the officials of the district accounts office, Dadu, were demanding 10 per cent of their pay to pass their bills.
TEACHERS SUSPENDED: Five primary school teachers were suspended by the EDO, Education, Dadu, Qamaruddin Farooqui, on Monday for negligence in their duties.
Mr Qamaruddin paid surprise visits at the Johi Primary School, Qasbo Primary School, and Wahi Pandhi Primary School in Sehwan Taluka and found a total of five teachers absent from duty.
