Soccer league: lack of merit
IN the recently concluded Pakistan premier league all record of nepotism was demonstrated by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) by giving the man of the tournament prize to a player who scored just eight goals, superseding Muhammad Rasool, the most deserving candidate.
He single-handedly led KESC to second spot by scoring 26 most valuable goals. His superb individual performance brought his team KESC to a respectable position. But the PPF ignoring the deserving player for man of the tournament title not only deprived him of his right but also shocked football lovers all across the country.
The PPF decision speaks volume about its non-serious attitude towards the promotion of the game in the country. The PFF highups should be packed before they play havoc with the game in the country.
