Balochistan CM orders judicial inquiry over 'child bombers'

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani has ordered a judicial inquiry into the arrest of children allegedly involved in terrorist activities in Quetta.

Police had busted a gang of children allegedly involved in terrorist activities in an operation in the suburbs of Quetta on March 13. The charge was contradicted by family members of the children.

According to an official handout issued on Tuesday night, the chief minister has ordered that a judge of Balochistan High Court (BHC) will conduct inquiry into the arrest of children allegedly involved in terrorist activities.

“The children were involved in a series of bomb explosions,” Quetta Police Chief Zubair Mehmood told reporters.

Currently, the children are under the custody of police for interrogation.
