Nomad girl kidnapped at gunpoint in Lakki
LAKKI MARWAT, April 1: Armed men kidnapped a nomad girl at gunpoint after injuring her mother near Dallokhel Phattak on the outskirts of Lakki, police said on Monday.
Sehat Bibi, the injured mother of the girl, a resident of Mandi Bahauddin district of Punjab, told police that seven armed persons entered the area near Dallokhel Phattak where their tents were erected and opened firing on them.
“As a result I sustained bullet wounds while a dog was killed,” she said. She added that the attackers took away her daughter Naseem Bibi along with them at gunpoint. Police registered a case against Khadim, Ahmad, Dad, Bhana, Shama, Zakir and Safdar, all residents of Mianwali, on the complaint of Sehat Bibi and started efforts to recover the kidnapped girl.
Meanwhile, a man was killed and another was injured when two groups exchanged fire in Kiri Allahyar village of Darra Pezu, police said.
They said that two rival groups of the village traded fire as a result Ghani Rehman from one group was killed while Raees Khan from the other side was injured seriously.
Police said that they registered separate cases against the accused persons of both the groups. “The accused persons nominated in the FIRs include Dilawar Khan, Ghani Khan, Resham, Inayatullah and Behram,” police said. They added that Dilawar Khan was arrested.
