LAHORE, April 4: Five-goal Mohammad Atiq and four-goal Shan Irshad inspired Pakistan to a 16-1 win against Chinese Taipei in the first match of the second U-16 Asia Cup hockey on Thursday in Singapore.

Nohaid Zahid Malik also contributed three goals while Junaid Kamal, Adeel Latif, Junaid Manzoor and Sikandar Mustafa chipped in with one goal each.

Pakistan will play back-to-back matches against China and Japan on Friday.
