KARACHI, April 18: The Essa Lab Open Sindh ranking tennis championship gets into action at Karachi Gymkhana courts from April 27 with prominent players vying for honours in various events.

The details of the event were announced by the sponsors and Sindh Tennis Association (STA) at a news conference held at the KG on Thursday.

The event carries total prize money of Rs30,000 for men’s and ladies singles.

Besides men’s and ladies singles, other events that will take place were juniors under-17 singles, boys and girls under-15 singles, boys and girls under-13 singles, boys and girls under-11 and under-9 singles.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Farhan Essa vowed to continue his support for the promotion of sports.

The last date for submission of entries is April 25.
