KARACHI: NJV School building to be renovated
KARACHI, Feb 21: For the renovation of the historic building of NJV School in Karachi and its restoration to its original shape, a sum of Rs 2.5 million would be raised from philanthropists.
This was stated by the Sindh education minister Irfanullah Khan Marwat while speaking at a certificate-distribution ceremony held for teachers under the middle schools project.
The minister said six air-conditioners would be installed at the library so that students could read books in a better environment.
He declared that those teachers who will perform their duty with dedication and devotion would be provided with every possible facility.
Marwat asked the teachers to concentrate on imparting knowledge to students.
The Director of the Middle School Project, Mahmood Lakho, informed that 105 head teachers of Karachi and 160 teachers of English, Urdu, Sindhi, mathematics and social studies were getting training so that they could teach the students in an effective manner.
He informed that the teachers from Sukkur, Dadu and Naushero Feroze are also being trained.—APP
