VEHARI, Oct 1 Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Punjab vice-president Zahid Anwer Wahla died of kidney failure and blood cancer in Norway on Thursday afternoon. He was 52.

Wahla, husband of PML-N MNA Tehmina Daultana, was admitted to Shaikh Zayed Hospital in Lahore a month ago and then he was shifted to Agha Khan Hospital in Karachi. Finally, he was flown to Norway where he died.

He played an active role in the district politics after contracting second marriage with Ms Daultana in 1993. Presently, he was a member of the district council.

He has left behind two daughters and a son from his first wife. His body is expected to arrive on Friday (today).
