`Taliban` nabbed in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD, May 9 Gulberg police on Saturday arrested two persons allegedly for demanding funds for war in Wazirastan by impersonating themselves as Taliban.

Sajjad Anwar Malik, Principal of Kamal Foundation Secondary School, Jinnah Colony, said that he had received telephone calls and SMS messages from Asif Din and Nadir Abbasi demanding funds for the war in Warizastan.

Malik said they had demanded Rs 200,000 on behalf of a group of seven Taliban.

He informed Gulberg police which conducted a raid and nabbed the accused. Asif Din belongs to Sajjavi, Balochistan, while Nadir Abbasi is a resident of Murree.—APP
