LARKANA: DSP, two SHOs booked in murder case

LARKANA, March 23: A case has been registered against three police officers with the Hatri Ghulam Shah police station for allegedly killing a shepherd.

The ASP, City, Mohammad Alam Shinwari, on Sunday told this correspondent FIR had been registered against DSP Akil Ghulam Ali Brohi, SHO, Ketti Mumtaz police station, Ghulam Nabi Korai, and the SHO, Hatri Ghulam Shah police station, Sanaullah Hulio.

The police on Saturday had claimed to have killed a bandit, Akbar alias Jhando Jatoi, in an “encounter” and registered an FIR with the Hatri Ghulam Shah police station. The villagers, however, disputed the claim and said the man killed was not a bandit but a shepherd.

Mumtaz Ali Jatoi, the brother of the deceased, said in the FIR a police party driving a mobile arrived in Panjani Jatoi village and blamed them for providing shelter to bandits.

The complainant said when they denied to have provided shelter to bandits, the DSP and other policemen opened fire, killing his brother.
