Two PHC judges take fresh oath

PESHAWAR, Dec 31 Two judges of the Peshawar High Court, Justice Muhammad Raza Khan and Justice Raj Muhammad Khan, took the oath under the 1973 Constitution on Monday.

The PHC's Chief Justice, Tallat Qayyum Qureshi, administered the oath to them. Other judges of the court had taken a fresh oath on the night of Dec 15 when emergency was lifted by the president.

Justice Raj Muhammad and Justice Muhammad Raza Khan had earlier taken the oath under the Provisional Constitution Order (PCO) when emergency was clamped on the country on Nov 3. After taking the oath under the PCO they had proceeded abroad for performing Haj due to which they could not take the fresh oath on Dec 15 along with fellow judges.
