ISLAMABAD Over 19 teams from all over Pakistan will participate in the 6th National Women Football Championship which will take place from 25th July to 7th August at Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex.
Teams from Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Islamabad, FATA, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and organizations like Army, PIA, PAF, WAPDA, Police, HEC, Debutant Frontier College of Peashawar, Karachi's Diya FC, Lahore's Sport Sciences, Rawalpindi's Young Rising Star and Navy affiliated with Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will participate in the event.
“Considering that football is being played less in girls' schools and women colleges, the appearance of several clubs in the 6th National Women Championship is a great achievement for PFF,” PFF Women Chairperson, Robina Irfan, told APP.
The Islamabad Football Association will arrange the Draws Ceremony on 24th July at Pakistan Sports Board (PSB)'s Conference Hall. - APP
