HYDERABAD: SPSF leader accused of extortion
HYDERABAD, March 30 Activists of the Sindh People's Students Federation have accused their President Lala Rizwan Mughal of misusing them against party's leadership and forcing them to indulge in extortion and blackmailing. They sought the attention of the PPP co-chairman, Sindh chief minister, home minister and senior police officials towards this situation.
Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Monday, Nazim Lashari and Lala Zubair Pathan said that they were active members of the SPSF and have rendered tremendous sacrifices for the PPP.
They alleged that Rizwan Mughal was using them by levelling allegations against the leadership and in some firing incidents. They accused him of manipulating firing at his own residence while putting the blame on the PPP-SB.
It was at his instigation that we resorted to firing at Labbaik Tower, bypass road they confessed adding that Rizwan Mughal occupied private wards in the Civil Hospital Hyderabad and blackmailed the administration.
The activists admitted that they had to disassociate from these activities when their parents came to know about it and reprimanded them to stop every activity hence forth with a warning. Their disassociation was not liked by Rizwan Mughal who was perpetually harassing them through police, they said.
In an appeal to central and provincial leadership, they sought protection and an action agianst Rizwan Mughal.—Bureau
