DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Blast damages Dera police station, houses
DERA ISMAIL KHAN, March 6 A newly-constructed building of the city police station and several nearby houses were damaged when an explosive device went off with a bang in the wee hours of Friday. However, no casualties were caused.
Officials said the improvised explosive device planted by suspected militants in the building of the police station went off at 335 am on Thursday destroying it and several nearby houses.
According to officials, one bomb could not explode and was defused by the officials of the bomb disposal squad later on. The police have arrested five inmates of the nearby houses on suspicion.
POs ARRESTED Security forces and police in a joint raid on a house of a tribesman in Karipak village of Tank on Friday arrested thirteen proclaimed offenders and seized huge cache of arms, officials claimed. —Correspondent
