Former CM passes away

NOWSHERA, Nov 2 Former chief minister of NWFP Nasrullah Khan Khattak died after protracted illness on Monday. He was 86.

He was buried in Manki Sharif graveyard in the presence of a large number of people. He was a close associate of late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, but later he developed some differences with the Pakistan people's Party.

He began his political career as chairman of Manki union council in 1962 and was able to reach to the slot of chief minister. He remained provincial president of the Pakistan people's Party.

The deceased also remained Pakistan ambassador to Tunis.

His qul will be held at his ancestral village Manki Sharif in Nowshera district on Tuesday.—Correspondent
