Facilities for Okara farm tenants

OKARA, Aug 7 Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved the provision of residential land to military farm tenants of Okara, according to MPA Chaudhry Nadeem Abbas Rubera.

Mr Rubera said Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Kulyana Estate Tenants Right Committee chairman, told the body on Thursday that the every tenant family of seven villages of the estate would be granted 10 marlas for residences with proprietary rights. Every village will be provided land for a graveyard, a school and a playground besides a basic health unit.

The MPA said the district coordination officer had received a letter regarding the approval of the project. He said the chief minister would visit Kulyana estate and announce a package for the development of the area. Saleem Jhakhar, Kulyana Estate Anjuman-i-Mazareen president, also confirmed the approval to the demands.

Also, the Kulyana Anjuman-i-Mazareen held a public gathering in estate village 27/2RA attended by hundreds of the tenants. Anjuman president Malik Saleem Jhakhar said Mr Sharif had approved the provision of basic facilities to all the seven estate villages.
