Qureshi says Samjhota, Mumbai attacks linked
MULTAN Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Samjhota Express incident and Mumbai attacks are interconnected with each other and the probe could only continue if India responds to the questions raised by Pakistan.
Talking to journalists at Multan Airport Qureshi said that drone attacks were not being operated from Pakistan.
'We are against the drone attacks and there was no understanding between Pakistan and US over this issue, as neither the government had allowed drone attacks, nor will it be allowed in future' he said.
He said that the US Special Envoy for Pakistan and Afghanistan has been clearly told that drone attacks were proving to be detrimental to the drive against militancy.
He said that the US will change its policy towards Pakistan with regards to the war on terror and the new policy would be presented to Nato in April after consultations with Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan had shared the report on Mumbai attacks with the G-8 and it has been declared as a breakthrough not only by India but by the entire world.
He said that if India wants to bring culprits of the Mumbai attack to justice then it should respond seriously to the questions asked by Pakistan because the investigations could only be completed with the help of the answers to those 30 questions.
