SUKKUR: Power supply suspended

SUKKUR April 18: The transformer supplying power to the Sindhi Housing Society and adjoining areas was burnt three days back but Hesco authorities have not repaired it.

The SDO, Hesco, Site, told area residents that new transformers were not available in the department and Rs30,000 was required to repair the old transformer.

However, the executive engineer of Wapda said the transformer was not the property of Hesco but of the housing society. He said the company could not repair the transformer with its own money. Due to the power shutdown, sewage water could not be drained out and dirty water has entered houses.—BoC
