SUKKUR: JI wants accord put before nation

SUKKUR, April 27 Jamaat-i-Islami leader Maulana Asadullah Bhutto has said that Taliban's activities, statements of Sufi Mohammad and Nizam-i-Adl Regulation are three separate things and the government should adopt different policies on the issues.

Speaking at a seminar on “Nifaz-i-Shariah in Swat and current situation” at the press club here, he said that the accord signed between the government and Sufi Mohammad should be put before the nation.

He said that Nizam-i-Adl has now become the country's law, therefore, it cannot be cancelled on the statement of anyone.

He said that Pervez Musharraf entered into an agreement with MMAs on December 31, 2004 and later announced before the nation about shedding his uniform but he did not fulfill his commitment and remained in uniform till 2008 and in spite of that 17th amendment was being implemented in the country.
