Karachi Bar delegation calls on CJP

KARACHI, April 8 Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has called for making efforts to establish a system of administration of justice which should provide adequate, prompt and impartial relief to any person whose affair is brought before a court for adjudication.

“Courts' decision should be fair and impartial, based on law and facts of the case,” he said while speaking to a delegation of the Karachi Bar Association office-bearers who called on him here on Thursday at the Supreme Court Karachi Registry.

Karachi Bar Association President Mehmood-ul-Hassan led the delegation.

The chief justice underlined the need for a greater cooperation between Bench and Bar to ensure dispensation of speedy and expeditious justice to litigants. “They must utilise all their energies to bring about a revolution in judicial system and leave no stone unturned to address the legal needs of litigant parties and plead their cases to redress their grievances,” he said.

The delegation assured the chief justice of their full support and cooperation in the dispensation of justice.—APP
