HYDERABAD: Widow`s plea to CJP

HYDERABAD, March 20 A widow has appealed to the chief justice of Supreme Court, to order recovery of her son who went missing two years ago.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Friday, , Zaibunnisa, resident of Goth Laloo Lashari, Kali Mori, Hyderabad, said that on May 23, 2007, her 14-year-old son Ghulam Abbas had gone to Tando Allahyar to meet his sister. She said that he left for Hyderabad on May 25, 2007, but did not reach home and was missing since then.

Fearing that her son had been kidnapped, she lodged an FIR with the Tando Allahyar police on August 2, 2007, after which the police arrested some accused but released them later, she said.

Ms Zaibunnisa said that the accused were issuing threats of dire consequences to her. She appealed to the chief justice to intervene in the matter and direct the authorities to recover her son.
