HYDERABAD: `Govt to eliminate poverty`

HYDERABAD, Jan 9 Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that the murder case of Benazir Bhutto will be investigated by the UNO and the murderers will be awarded exemplary punishment.

He was talking to reporters after offering condolences to PPP MPA Syed Mohsin Shah Bukhari at his Tando Mohammad Khan residence on the death of his mother on Friday.

He said that the Benazir Bhutto Income Support Programme had been launched to eliminate poverty. He said that poor women would be given a monthly stipend to lead a respectable life. He said that the government was committed to accomplish the mission of Benazir Bhutto and honour all her promises made with the people.

District president of the party, Amin Lakho, Syed Aijaz Shah Bukhari and other PPP leaders were also present.
