Jansher lauds PAF efforts for squash
ISLAMABAD, Nov 7 Squash legend Jansher Khan said on Sunday that it was the support of the Pakistan Air Force which has ensured survival of the game in the country despite failure of young lot on the international arena.
His comments came at a time when the annual General Council of the Pakistan Squash Federation unanimously elected Air Vice Marshal Razi Nawab as the new senior vice-president of the federation.
“Air Marshal Asim Suleman extended massive financial support to young players but they failed to create any impact on the international circuit,” Jansher told Dawn on Sunday. He added the players were not taking any benefit from the PAF's initiative.
“I have a good meeting with the new AVM, Razi Nawab, and hopefully things will move in better directions for the development of squash,” he remarked. — Sports Reporter
