Gallantry awards for martyred police officers

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai conferred on Thursday Presidential Gallantry Awards on martyred police offices at a ceremony held in the Governor House in connection with the Independence Day.

The awards were received by heirs of the martyred police officers, Shahnawaz Khan, Jameel Kakar, Ameer Mohammad Dashti, Arif Ali Shah, Sangeen Khan, Manzoor Elahi, Sanaullah, Ghulam Murtaza, Mohammad Riaz and Rajab Ali.

On behalf of the President of Pakistan, the governor also conferred awards on injured police officer Mohammad Akbar and Deputy Finance Secretary Mohammad Raheem Kakar.

Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Jan Mohammad Khan Jamali, Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Mohammad Nasir Khan Janjua, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattha, Frontier Corps Inspector General Maj Gen Ejaz Shahid, Balochistan IG Mohammad Amlish, provincial ministers and senior military and civil officers attended the ceremony.
