Humaima Malick lands triple film deal in Bollywood

After endless promotion of her role in Raja Natwarlal, Pakistani actor Humaima Malik appears to have struck gold in Bollywood.
According to the Deccan Chronicle, the Bol actor has signed up for three films by famous Bollywood director, Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
“I have signed a three-film contract with Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The first film is yet to begin but I have already been signed up,” Humaima confirmed. Humaima also denied rumours that UTV had gone back on their word and were not signing any films with her.
“I have heard this before but honestly it’s all humbug. I have no issues with UTV or Emraan Hashmi. I was signed by UTV for only one film,” she said.
When asked whether she would move to India for good, Humaima replied, “I think I have already moved to India for good. There was a time when I used to juggle between London, Dubai and Pakistan. Now India has become a second home.”
Unlike previous film actors like Meera and Veena Malik, who were unable to make a name in Bollywood, Humaima hopes to follow into the footsteps of Zeba Bhaktiyar.
“As far as I know, the last Pakistani actor who made a successful debut in Bollywood was Zeba Bhaktiyar. I don’t know of any other Pakistani actress in Hindi cinema. I’d like to follow in Zeba’s footsteps. I’m clueless about so-called Pakistani actors in Hindi films.”
Her much awaited film, Raja Natarwal releases on August 29.

Pakistani actors working in Bollywood definitely help improve Pakistan's image in India.
Most of the conflicts we have today are illusions or build on the one-sided information fed by Media or vested interests.

Indian actors Nandita Das and Naseeruddin Shah have played in Pakistani films, Ramchand Pakistani and Zinda Bhaag respectively. So why not Pakistani actors going to India?

I don't think many Pakistani cares about what Indian thinks about us. Actors would like to make more money and have a bigger audience to follow and they get that in India. For all purposes, if India improves their image in Pakistan, they might get colloboration for improving the standard of Indian TV dramas etc which Pakistan has a far better standard.

@Abbas India doesn't care about it's image in Pakistan either.. Who really cares about what Pakistan thinks of them..All of these actors will praise India when they have work and when they don't they will go back and start bashing India..The only exception I have seen is Ali Zafar..he is a true gentleman!!

I think its more about representation of your own country norms and culture specially when you travel across borders whether its India middle east or Europe.be in your own clothes is better rather giving your strings in someones hand who really don't care pulling them either ways in which he/she wants.

It more looks like an endless promotion of bleach and vulgarity posing in cheap European clothing, so alien and remote to the local cultures.
I missed the good old Desi looking actresses acting normal instead of trying so hard to look like the White European by bleaching their skin and hair and with English language of their own? What

@Indian Muslim Why get settled in India? Do you wish the same for every person of the world? In that case my friend, India won't be able to support all of this huge population. I am a Hindu however I still won't welcome Hindus from around the world to settle here. We have to fix out country first.

Please tell this report to Shaan, he was concerned about the equal opportunity. Vidu Vinod Chopra is not a second string director/producer but a top one actually. Parinda, Parineeta, 1942 a Love Story, Munnabhai series, 3 Idiots etc. are highly successful movies. Humaina is a lucky actress to get such an opportunity and surely will blossom herself more as an actress in the Bollywood.

Casting Pakistani artist is absolutely necessary coz the pay packages of Indian actors has increased monumently. To balance on the film budjets Pakistani actors seeking low pay packages are a welcome gift to film producers. Hence the 3 film deal.
