With one day for the television launch of the highly anticipated Coke Studio season 7, the platform released four songs along with their behind the scene videos from first episode on its website as well as social media accounts of Facebook and Twitter.

Produced by Strings, the songs have already started to get attention online.

The first episode will take off with artistes familiar with the Coke Studio family including Asrar, Niazi Brothers and the legendary Abida Parveen, Ustad Raees Khan and Sajjad Ali.

Retaining the sufi aura set by the immensely popular previous seasons, following songs will be sung by the artists:

Sub Aakho Ali Ali by Asrar

Mein Sufi Hoon by Ustad Raees Khan and Abida Parveen,

Lai Beqadraan Naal Yaari by Niazi Brothers

Sajjad Ali however will be singing a much slower version of Tum Naraz Ho from his oldest albums 'Chief Sahab'.

The show which had to commence on 1st September got delayed due to the political crisis.

However, as all-out coverage of the sit-ins in the capital has substantially diminished one month later, the platform decided to air the first episode on 21st September (Tomorrow).

Ranging from traditional Eastern, Modern Western and regionally inspired pop, rock, sufi, folk and qawalli music, this season will be paying homage to the Sound of the Nation. In a series of firsts, Season 7 will delve into new unexplored genres while also touching upon the role that film music has had in defining our musical history by visiting quintessentially Pakistani film music within Coke Studio context.
