KARACHI: Over 13,000 staffers of various civic agencies and 5,000 vehicles have been assigned the task to lift and subsequently dispose of offal instantly during Eidul Azha so that the people do not face any difficulties, says a statement.

The statement issued by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation on Sunday also urged the people to do not dump the offal in garbage dumps, sewers or storm drains.

It said that the offal be left by the roadside so that the civic agency staffers could lift these immediately to keep the area clean.

Some 20 ditches have been dug up at different places in the city where the offal would be brought for burial and scientific disposal.

In case of offal lifting vehicles did not come, the people could lodge complaint at the central complaint cell on telephone:1339.
