RAWALPINDI, Oct 9: The government has compiled a ‘Red Book’ containing photographs and information about 99 most-wanted sectarian terrorists, an official source said.

The book, containing the most updated and authentic information about the terrorists, has been sent to the law- enforcement and intelligence agencies.

The source said out of the 99 most-wanted by the law- enforcing agencies, 49 belonged to Punjab, 49 to Sindh, and six to the NWFP.

The book, containing pictures and sketches of the most- wanted sectarian terrorists belonging to both the Sunni and Shia sects, also mentions rewards ranging from Rs0.5 million to Rs3 million for information leading to their arrest - dead or alive, the source said.

According to the book, compiled by the National Crisis Management Cell of the Ministry of Interior, combined efforts by the law-enforcing agencies and intelligence agencies are required to bring an end to sectarian terrorism.

The book, which lacks the photographs of some of the most wanted sectarian terrorists, also mentions the age, height, physical structure, complexion, face structure, eyes, colour of hair, hair style, identification mark, language, way of talking, dress and some other particulars of the terrorists.

The source said the book also contained some special details of the man declared by the government as ‘sectarian terrorist’. The details include the FIR registered against the wanted man and his present status (where he has been living). It also mentions the link of the terrorist with the banned religious group.
