QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri and Com-mander Southern Command, Lt Gen Aamir Riaz, decided on Friday that civil and military institutions would continue joint operations against terrorists for restoring peace and order in the province.

Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattah, Balochistan Inspector General of Police Ahsan Mehboob and senior security officials also attended their meeting.

Official sources said that security matters pertaining to Balochistan and the ongoing measures taken for improvement in the law and order situation were discussed at the meeting.

The security forces were commended for their efforts in eliminating terrorist activities. It was decided to strengthen cooperation between the security forces and the administration.

“They would receive full support and patronage of the provincial government in their efforts to restore peace and order in Balochistan,” Mr Zehri said. He directed all security institutions to stay prepared to face challenges relating to terrorism.
