Indian President Mukherjee greets Pakistanis on national day

Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday took to Twitter to greet the Pakistani nation and the government in connection with national day celebrations.
"Greetings to (the) government and people of Pakistan on their national day," tweeted Mukherjee.
He further wrote, "India is committed to building ties with Pakistan in an environment free from terror and violence."
The greetings were extended as the nation celebrates the 77th Pakistan Day with national zeal and fervour.
The day marks the historic Lahore Resolution of 1940, in which the All-India Muslim League had demanded a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
Earlier, President Mamnoon Hussain in his address at the main celebration and parade ceremony in Islamabad had said, "We are ready for dialogue with India and want to resolve the incomplete agenda of the division of the subcontinent, in accordance with the UN resolutions on Kashmir."

Mr. Mukharjee is an extreme gentleman. Recently he visited his in-law's house in Jessore in Bangladesh. Both he and his wife showed their kindness and love to the people of Bangladesh. Mr. Mukharjee is from West Bengal. But most of his in-laws family members including his brohter-in-laws (shala) are Bangladeshi Citizens and living in Jessore.

Let us not irk India by UN resolutions and simply call for the principled approach by correcting the historic mistakes made by the British. We had handed over Junagarh and Manadar States to India and did not contest Hyderabad State, all being Hindu majority Muslim ruled States. On the same principle we expected reciprocation by India on Kashmir, a Muslim majority State ruled by a Hindu.

We also want to build friendly ties we wish we could resolve our all disputes including the Kashmir dispute, so we can have close brotherly relations. Indian politicians dont want that.
