Ambassador of Turkmenistan Atadjan Movlamov organised a tree plantation drive in collaboration with the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) under the My Green Pakistan initiative at Gulistan-i-Fatima Park in E-7 Islamabad.

The event was sponsored by Bio-labs CEO Usman Shoukat and attended by a number of ambassadors and high commissioners, representatives of the government, RCCI executives and other businesspeople who planted trees.

RCCI President Nasir Mirza shared the various environmentally responsible initiatives underway at the chamber, including the installation of a rainwater harvesting and recharge system and solar panels at chamber building.

The tree plantation, he said, was part of the efforts to instil and promote a green culture among the community.

RCCI group leader Sohail Altaf said that it was the collective responsibility of all people to secure the future by preserving the environment for future generations and promoting tree plantation and other green initiatives as far as possible.
