LAHORE: A private aircraft crashed in Mian Channu, Khanewal district, on Wednesday night and the lone occupant remained safe.

According to locals and rescue officials, the aircraft, likely to be used for training purposes, crashed on a cold storage at Chak 115 in the middle of the fields.

The pilot remained safe after timely ejection from the jet and no loss of life or injury reported as no one was present there.

Police cordoned off the area and did not allow rescue officials to come close to the jet.

The rescue officials were asked to leave as the army authorities were coming to collect the evidence.

Later, the army officers launched a search for collecting pieces of the jet.
