NO CLASSES

NO CLASSES: The abrupt cancellation of pre-medical and pre-engineering classes at the Government Boys Degree College, Jacobabad, has left its students in a state of disillusionment. The classes were only held for a week, but then the notification was suddenly withdrawn. The relevant authorities should take immediate and stern action against this injustice. We must ensure that our educational system remains equitable and accessible to all regardless of one’s socioeconomic background or any other such reason.

LAX SECURITY: The inmates who recently escaped from two different jails are still at large. This highlights the security situation in the country. The current incidents are not the first of their kind, and that is an even more worrying aspect of life in Pakistan. It is the responsibility of the government — both federal and provincial — to ensure the safety and security of the people.

SUSPENDED TRAINS: During the Covid pandemic, some train services had been suspended. Now that the situation has returned to normal and people are travelling frequently, Chiltan Express, Khushal Khan Khattak Express, Akbar Express and other such services should be restored. This will provide affordable travel options to the people, and increase government revenue.

GOVERNMENT FUNDS: The Sindh government recently announced plans to enhance funds for union councils (UCs) so that they may serve their people. As far as Kashmore is concerned, the local representatives have consistently failed to do anything that may remotely be called serving the people. They collude with constituency representatives to embezzle funds allocated for development projects in their respective areas. The government should ensure proper utilisation of funds in the best interest of the people.
