KARACHI: Residents of Sohrab Goth staged a demonstration on Sunday in protest over increasing activities of drug dealers in the neighbourhood and inaction of law enforcement agencies.

The protest was organised by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).

Carrying placards and party flags and chanting slogans, the protesters blocked the main road, demanding the suspension of the SHOs of the Sohrab Goth and Sachal police stations.

They accused the police officers of allegedly patronising drug dealers within their remits.

The protest caused a traffic mess on M-9 and adjoining arteries in Scheme 33.
